Dissolving stitches & vagina itching

Hello Everyone I have a few questions. When your stitches are dissolving will they come out when you pee and will it look like little pieces of white string? Also I have started itching like in the front part of my vagina at the top(tip) and I don't know if it is healing, hair growing back? Has anyone else had this going on. I am not itching up inside just right in the tip area and I am not in pain or bleeding just have the same orangish spotting that I have had since surgery(it was pinkish and then orangish). Is the white string looking things the stitches dissolving? Have any of you had that itching? HELP!!! I mean it is not bad bad but I noticed it alittle yesterday and alittle more today. Thanks

Re: Dissolving stitches & vagina itching

I had some itching around 3 week mark and have noticed tiny small grayish threads (very tiny) when I go to the bathroom. The itching cleared up after a few days. You may want to check in with your surgeon's office to be sure.

Re: Dissolving stitches & vagina itching

I'm not too sure so can't be of much help but you could call the Drs or the nurse station at the hospital you had your surgery. They gave me a discharge sheet and it did say around day 7 to 10 to expect some bleeding and stitches to show...however I have just today had a show and haven't bled at all since day 1 so guessing that it be longer than 10days...my motto "if in doubt check it out"

Re: Dissolving stitches & vagina itching

I was wondering the same thing about the white sting looking things. I'm 5 weeks post op and I noticed the white stuff when I pee. I also had the itching at 4 weeks but it went away on its own.
