Question about difference in U/S & D&C / Hysteroscopy Findings

Hi all!
I'm 47 and 2.5 years post-menopausal.
For some history... my mom passed from ovarian cancer when I was 3. I have experienced infertility and endometriosis. I had a mass on my ovary which I had removed over 6 years ago along with both tubes. They left one ovary because of my age and the fact that they wouldn't put me on HRT. My sister and I have both had genetic testing and don't carry the gene (s). However, my gyn still has me do an U/S every 6 months and a CA125 once a year.

Over Memorial Day weekend I experienced some very light spotting. I had my annual the week later and my gyn did a biopsy in the office and sent me for an Ultrasound. Unfortunately he didn't get enough tissue for the biopsy and the U/S measured my endometrium at 5 mm and indicated that the myometrium is heterogeneous. I also had two small fibroids -- an anterior and a posterior. Both the endometrium and the fibroids were smaller than what was on my previous U/S.

Gyn suggested a D&C with a hysteroscopy which I had done yesterday (feeling good!). In post op, he said that he thought that everything looked good and that he removed a small polyp. However, he didn't say anything about the fibroids and I think that I was a bit out of it to ask about them. He said that he'd call with the pathology results in 10 days. No post-op appt needed.

Obviously, I'm worried about the results, especially since there was no mention of the polyp on the ultrasound and the fact that he didn't mention the fibroids following the D&C/Hysteroscopy.

Would love to get some thoughts on this.
