Hi,

Welcome home! Sometimes, at first, it's easier to sleep in a recliner chair or with pillows to prop you up. You're early in your recovery, and it did take me a few weeks to really get comfortable and rest well. Also, try tucking a pillow under your knees and keep them slightly bent. That should keep your tummy from stretching out. Good luck and mend well.

Like KingDuncan says pillows can be your best friend. I am 6 days post op for a TVH, I am surprisingly mobile, but getting comfortable is only possilbe with pillows to support me. Good Luck with your recovery, remember to rest, drink water, and walk a little - don't over do it!

They didn't even question me when I would ask for another one. I looked like I has a wall around me, but I was comfortable! It really does help if you keep one under your knees if you lay on your back. Or if you can lay on your side, I put one in between my knees. It puts less pressure on you incision.

Hi KaiRobin

O my, but you're so very early in your recovery from major surgery. It is very normal as the other sisters said to feel pulling and you probably will from time to time as you heal. I was also reminded in the to make sure my posture was upright, to make sure I didn't get hunched over; verryy gently. Remember to keep up your pain meds, lots of water, as you're able, lots (with pillows!) and
