got the time

The castle just called I have to be there at 5:15am. She went through what NOT to do tonight (no eatting after 9pm, no drinking after 12am, no makeup (I don't wear it anyway, makes me itch LOL, no nail polish, bring all meds in their own bottles and shower tonight or tomorrow with an antibacterial soap). I know that I won't get any sleep tonight - that is the only thing I am not looking forward too. I have moved the laptop over to the bed and have it ready for when I return. Can't wait to get back with the crown in hand

great news--but oh so early. Wonder why they said take a shower tonight? I did mine first thing in the morning before leaving. Every hospital is different though. Let us know when you are home so we can have the brownies and tea ready!

Penny....
that is great news... and even though 5:15 is early in the morning I would much rather have that than my time at 11:30. I have to be at the hospital at 9:30 ... so no waiting for you!
Good luck tomorrow.

got the time

I was told to shower the night before with the special soap (and also in the am if I wanted to) because it gives the "soap" time to work...that is why they told me the "night before"

early was good for me

I had a 7:30 op and had to be at the hospital at 6 am. Early worked for me. I did not have to worry about surgery before mine running late and in turn causing mine to be late. I also had less time the day of the op to dwell on what was going to happen that day and less time to hear my stomach complain about the no food / drink after midnight rule.

I'll be sending good thoughts your way for an uneventful surgery and recovery. Take care,

Rae-Ann
