scared and wondering

Hi
Im new to this site.. and i will tell I am scared of having this done next week.. but i have had a leep and a cone in 2005 for cin3 severe dypslia, and now this past year i have been worn down, sick and hurting really bad, the doctor had put me on Agesten for 6 months it worked for a bit but then breakthough bleeding and severe cramping. so now im having a TAH/BSO and removing my appendix as well .. but they said sometimes do to insurance reasons they have to do a d&c first. So now i might have to have 2 surgeries instead of just one.. If i have this D&C he did not tell me how long i will have to wait before my hysto.. im worried and i just want to feel better,, I am a different person then i was 1 year ago.. if anyone has any thing to share i would appericate it thank you

Re: scared and wondering

Your road has been much longer than mine, but I can tell you I am very glad to have this operation over with and to be able to move on. I hope you can talk to your doctor and find out how long you have to wait after a D&C before you can move forward too.

Re: scared and wondering

I tried an Endometrial ablation first, just because the research I did on the hysterectomy made me realize I wanted to try everything else first. It actually felt good to give myself an option although this will now be my third surgery in a year. The ablation lasted about six months and i felt AWESOME for most of that time. The hyster is a very permenant solution and for myself I wanted to be certain I did what I could first.
