anyone else looking for new job?

Thanks! It was a long drive! It was only supossed to be 1 year, turned out to be 3 1/2! I don't know if they were more accomodating because of my recent surgery, or my massive mood swings! They were real adament about making sure I was happy and not looking elsewhere! It worked out for everyone, though!

Is this just the hormones talking?? Hmmmm??

Anyone else re-evaluating their jobs?
My surgery had nothing to do with my career choce, but I have to say, as someone who lives on 100% commission....I would NEVER go back to working for an hourly or monthly wage ever again. The smarter I work, the more I make.....in 2007 I made 48% more than I did in 2006......that is far more than a 25 cent an hour raise....and I gave myself that raise.

The only real way that anyone is every paid what they actually earn is to be paid commission or be self employed. Those who wait for the boss to give them a raise will never be paid based on how hard (or little) they actually work.

anyone else looking for new job?

I hear all of you!!! I have been thinking the same thing, I even discussed this with my therapist last week. I just don't know what I would do! I am an assistant manager where I am now, I have been there for 16 yrs. now. I have great benefits:
4weeks paid vacation(weeks can be broken up into days)
salaried pay
free life insurance($100,000)
health insurance
profit sharing every quarter
long term disability
free company stock with every pay check(weekly)
8 mile drive!!
There is more but blonde moment here lol.
I know I should be greatful to have a job, when there are sooo many out of work now. Besides, I cannot do a 9-5 desk job, tried it 18 yrs. ago and it was tooo boring lol.

anyone else looking for new job?

You know, the last 2 times I changed jobs, it followed a health issue...

2005--post chemo/rads for Hodgkins stage 2
2006--post carpal tunnel surgery
Now--thinking about it post hyst

Never have I regretted changing positions. Since I am in the oil industry, I would probably have no problem changing jobs...Geophysicists are a comodity right now...not many of us below the age of 50.

Hmmm...guess I could stir the pot and see what jumps out.
