Pain same time every month, anyone else?

I had a TAH and kept left ovary almost 6 months ago. Every month I have pain on both left side near ovary and general abdominal pain. I take pain killers for almost a week each month. The pain happens the same week each month. Has anyone had the same problem? Do you have any explainations?????

I used to have that before I had my ovaries out, dr said it was hormonal, something about a cyst that forms and then goes away. I also had to take pain relievers for about a week, as it can really be bothersome. I had this for years off and on.

I would check with my doctor to be sure it is nothing serious, as he can do a sonogram to check on it.

I have the same thing and mine turned out to be the ol' cyst problem. Seems that in my case it is just "normal" ovulation, it's just that sometimes the cyst that naturally forms gets a little over-exhuberant and large!
Get them to give you an ultrasound just to make sure though

i've had painful ovulation since i started my period when i was 13. i still get it now since i kept my ovaries. you might want to make a drs appt when you have the pain..you might need an ultrasound to doublecheck that thats what it is.
