can't sleep

is it normal not to be able to sleep or sit still. I have been finding myself doing anything and everything all hours of the day and night, driving family nuts. in some ways i'm looking forward to this but have found my self very restless. can't seem to sleep more then a few hours at a time. I have this need to clean everything inside and outside of my home. now i have started paint all the rooms in my house.

can't sleep

Actually, I think the nesting instinct is quite common before surgery, and who among us wasn't nervous before the procedure. And if you are like many sisters with insomnia that follows surgery, maybe you are in training for post-op!! I hope everything goes well with your surgery--and you would be welcome to come to my house with your cleaning supplies and paint!!(LOL)

can't sleep

I can't sleep ither. My surgery is tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. It is 3:13 a.m. now. I did the same things as you. I cleaned the whole house and keep telling my family what needs to be done when I will be unable to do things after the surgery. I don't want to get back into doing everything too soon, so I think my brain is on overdrive to do it all now. Best wishes to you.

can't sleep

Surgery nesting.......my family can't wait till it's done......I've painted all the rooms, new carpeting and furniture (had to be done this was just the incentive I needed) new drapes. I felt stongly that if I was busy I wouldn't be nervous and it worked everythings done and I can't sleep and am the most nervous I have ever been in my life I can't wait until it's done.
