Thigh pain

Just home on Thursday and I have been really good. I get up and walk ever couple hours but dont do to much...you know no bending or stretching. Even sat a the table a few times over the last 24 hours. So I feel like I am do good.

Well I was laying on the couch watching a movie and started to get a thigh pain...its not a cramp just a mild pain. Is this normal? Thanks for any help

Re: Thigh pain

Yes it is normal, abdominal muscles are connected to leg muscles and so are the nerves. When you have surgery they are both effected, thus causing some discomfort in the legs.

LadySteelerFan -

It isn't uncommon to have nerves disturbed and that can cause some pain and tingling in your legs.

Re: Thigh pain

If your thigh pain gets worse, please contact your doctor. I had a pain in my thigh that felt like a pulled muscle. Not too bad at first, but when it got worse I went to the ER where it was discovered I had a blood clot (DVT). I had no other symptoms.

Re: Thigh pain

I concur with Catherine. The thigh pain may be worth a call to your dr. I had an ablation back in Nov. 2009 and within a week's time developed a strange feeling of warmth in my thigh (not really painful at all). It turned out I also had a DVT in my leg. As I discovered back then, they can be very common especially after having "female surgery" where your legs are up in that lovely stirrup position for an extended period. Good luck to you in your recovery!

Re: Thigh pain

Thank you so much for your concern sisters

DH wanted to ship me to the ER right away and I take more of the wait and see approach.

This may seem babyish but the thought of driving 40 minute to the hospital and waiting in the ER for who knows how long is just brings tears to my eyes. I promise though if it gets any worse I will go ASAP.

Thank you so much ~ladysteelerfan~
