Hysterectomy: January 15th, 2013
Blood clots after 12 days

Had abdominal hysterectomy on 1/15, only took uterus out, left ovaries and cervix. Was fine for 12 days then started passing blood clots on 1/27. Got worse today 1/29. Passing clot every hour. Doctor thinks bleeding is coming from cervix but could not see during internal exam and ultrasound. In hospital for observation now. Any suggestions on how to find the source of bleeding without having to go back into surgery?

I'm sorry you're having problems. Hopefully your doctor has figured this out and you are home and resting.
