Anyone else have this?

Hi,

I'm 20 days post-op from LAVH (kept my ovaries) and have been feeling pretty good.

This morning around four a.m. I woke up just dying of heat. I kicked off the covers but spent the next hour feeling very flushed and sick to my stomach.

After an hour the alarm went off so I got up for the day. I feel hot, slightly sick, kind of weak....not so good.

When I went to the restroom a blob of mucusy discharge was waiting for me. I had to wipe a couple of times to get it all. It was barely tinged so I can't say it's bloody. But I have been discharge-free for weeks now, so this was unusual.

I took my temp but it's normal.

I feel exactly like I did when I last got a bladder infection. But there's no fever, no cloudy urine, no pain, and that would not explain the discharge.

I checked the calendar and it's about five days too early for my "period," would it be coming this month. I did ovulate right on time, and had all the usual symptoms back then, so I would assume I'm on time for my "period." But maybe this is my body's attempt at a five-day early mini-period? Or am I sick? Again--no fever...so...not sure what to make of it. It feels like more than a "hot flash," what with the discharge and nausea.

Any clues?

Re: Anyone else have this?

Hi Kelly -

I have not had what you were descriping in your post, but I would call the Dr and let them know what was happening. Even thought you are not running a fever, you are not feeling well and have new level of discharge. It might be nothing more than the "3 Week Wall" but it might be something else. I have always been one to err on the side of caution - I would rather call the Dr and it be "nothing" than to not call and it be "something".

((((((Hugs))))))) to you and I hope you start feeling better soon.

Re: Anyone else have this?

Hi Kelly,

How are you doing? My, you posted early this morning!

I agree with Cyn: this sounds like a really good question for your physician. I'm only a few days post surgery, so I don't have experience to guide a response for you.

Hoping you're feeling better soon,

Re: Anyone else have this?

i came back from my reg checkup today. If you feel bad ask I was hit over the head with infections though i did have a low grade fever for 3 days when i called the ob said it be fine just get some rest. I have a UT infection and some other stuff. Would not have known it though i did not have any signs that i could tell. There just so many pulls and twinges and stuff going on anyway sometime i think you can miss other signs. Best to call the DR if you are concerned. Letting sometime go on when it does not have to can do more harm then good. If it nothing then at least you have peace of mind. Good luck hope you had it checked keep us updated.

Re: Anyone else have this?

Kelly-
I agree with all above...phone the doctor. It is always better to be cautious and careful. I did end up having many of the same symptoms and was treated for a UTI. Please let us know how you are.....

Re: Anyone else have this?

Thanks everyone, I phoned the dr. she said to rest a few days and see if that helped, and to call her if i had a fever or cloudy urine.

It's been a couple of days and I actually felt tons better, but then last night I kept waking up with the need to pee SO BAD I couldn't stand it....then I'd go to the restroom and it would turn out to be a false alarm. Not a good sign..........

Re: Anyone else have this?

Kelly--
No...not a good sign. Check in again with the doctor, it sounds a bit like a UTI. They can be very painful but an antibiotic will help if that it the diagnosis. ALSO, there is an OTC medication called Azo-Standard that is a pill that numbs the bladder while you are having such bad spasms and it hurts. Be cautioned...it is NOT an antibiotic....it turns your urine very orange but definitely helps with the pain.
Hope you feel better...
