Post Op 7/30

So happy my surgery is finally over and done with, and I am home from the hospital. Thank you so much for all of the encouragement and information on this site Went in for excessive bleeding (even after ablation last Oct), suspected adenomyosis. They found endometriosis in my pelvis, which no dr had ever mentioned before, so that was a surprise. Sister had a hysterectomy at 31 due to endo, but I never had an issue with that before...or so I thought. Having a very difficult time finding a comfortable position, especially when the meds wear off...and am just cranky about having to take it so slowly, even though I know it's for the best. Wishing everyone a smooth recovery

Hi Princess, I am happy to hear that you are home and that everything went well. Finding that comfortable sleeping position is trying through trial and error you'll find the best one for you. As for your meds, your body cant focus on it's healing if it's focused on the pain so it's best to take your pain meds as scheduled so that you stay ahead of the pain. That way your body isn't working so hard to play catch up.

Make sure to get plenty of rest, drink plenty of water, eat plenty of fiber and walk a little each hour that your aren't resting and always listen to your body. I wish you success in your recovery. Happy healing!

Lots of ((HUGS)) to you
