The final tally
I will soon pay the last bill from my surgery. The totals after insurance were:
GYN surgeon and assistant surgeon: $670
Anesthesiologist: $139
pre-op lab work: about $150
Hospital bill: about $450
Lab: $30
Total: about $1,500...give or take a few bucks here or there. I can't complain. My insurance company took care of 90% of the rest. Yes, it really cost about $12,000 or so.
