IF a woman is going to get an infection post-op, when will it show up?

I had my TVH on the 25th. I think I am doing very well, actually. My final fer to face is that I may get infection. I know that is a risk with any surgery, but I am a worrier! So, my question is:
IF a woman is going to get an infection, when will it show up by?
I mean, once I pass the _____-week mark, I will be "in the clear" as far as that concern goes?
Thanks!

i also am at a higher risk for infection, since opening up a good 2 inches of my insicion on day 2 from nausea. my doc has me keeping the site clean & dry with mini pad on inside of panties and blowdry after shower. she said another week is the turning point for me.

IF a woman is going to get an infection post-op, when will it show up?

I had a TVH on 4/23 and I got a fever on 4/27. I was in the hosptel until 4/29 for an infection. I pray that this does not happen to you. My daughter just had open heart surgery and her timeline for infection to show up was 7-10 days post-op. I don't know what the time frame is for vaginal hysterectomy...My Dr. said the pelvic area is the most unpredictable area of our body. Hope this helps.

Melissa322-
Well I am 5 days out, and you were 4 when you got your fever...so I guess every day past surgery w/o fever is good...
Sorry to hear about your daughter, hope all is well and you are both recovering fine now.
Take good care.
