I called my doc and he said he left minimal lining next to my cervix which causes a monthly period.. has anybody else experience this??? i am soo mad and bummed about the whole situation and feel abnormal... i am confused.. do i live with this? do i go back and get it corrected? will my endo come back???

I had exactly the same surgery that you did. I also had endo removal. My doctor is a specialist in treating endometriosis. She said there is no guarantee the endo will, or will not return. If they get all of the endo spots removed there is a good chance it will not return. However, since there is only theory at this point as to what causes endo, they just do not know everything about it.
I also had bleeding like a light period every month for 4 months. The Dr. did the silver nitrate stick to seal what she thought was some tissue left from uterus. Then when the bleeding continued she read back through her notes and saw where she had stitched a bleeding artery. To make a long story short she wound up removing my cervix in a second surgery. After several attempts to codorize spot. However I at that point, was bleeding every day and heavier.
She did however tell me that I do not heal very well. Also do not take ibuprophin or other pain relievers like that because they thin the blood and cause bleeding. During the second surgery she had problems stopping my bleeding. I was also taking alot of Ginger root and that also acts like asprin, thinning the blood. Now I wonder if I could have kept my cervix if I had known then......
The Dr. can codorize the spot, that may work for you. However if they go too high they can hit the bowl then your screwed, because you can have to have reconstrutive surgery. Bad deal.
Evaluate any medicine, even herbs you are taking to see if they act like asprin, causing bleeding problems.
I did get my bladder sliced when she was cutting cervix from bladder. I had to wear a catherter for two weeks. Thankfully no permanent damage to bladder. Now I worry that the endo could grow on my bladder because no cervix to protect bladder.
Do you have pain with these minie periods? I have read on this web site that alot of women have this problem.
If I had had a choice I would have just dealt. I could not though because I started heavy bleeding every day.
Also the removal of just the cervix, vaginally, put me down for another 6 weeks. NO FUN
Best of luck to you. I know exactly how you feel. However your situation will turn out alot better than mine. I just wanted you to know the risks, ect..
Please let us know how you are doing.
