The Waiting Game

Good morning everyone! I'm newbie, so forgive my mistakes..
Anyway, I'm 38 and have been having problems for a few years now (clotting, pain, heavy bleeding (and way too often). Had a vag ultrasound and they found about 5 fibroids at 4 and 5cm, and an enlarged uterus. Oh yea, my uterus is also reversed. MD wants to do a D&C 3/22/02, to make sure no cancer. He also said if he can scrape all the fibroids off, he will. If he can't then he wants to do a hyst within the next few months.

I told him I want one anyone. My mom is currently battling cancer, my grandmother had cancer, and my mom's youngist sister died last year at 49. He said he would do one.

Anyway, if I had my way, I would just schedule the hyst now, but he brings up a good point. If he does the hyst now and it comes back showing any cancer, then they have to go in again.

Well, I'm feeling pretty good about the whole thing. So next Friday, I have the D&C, and if all goes well, the hyst within next few months.
