Bladder sling (Burch) procedure results - good or not?

I am scheduled to have TAH/BSO with bladder sling (Burch) procedure on 2/7/01. I am wondering whether the sisters who have had this Burch procedure done are glad they did. Did it do what it is supposed to? Take care of bladder problems/symptoms or not? Were you satisfied with the results or not? Maybe I should post this question on the post-op message board also? Also, what was the postop experience like. My dr said I would probably go home with a catheter. Doesn't sound fun. How does a person take care of this at home. How long was the catheter in? Did you go back to hospital to have it taken out?
