was not prepared...

For all of these emotions. I thought that I had planned ahead and had everything set up and ready. But I didn't realize how emotional I would be after all of this. The crying spells came out of nowhere. I have never been really close to my mother, but I have been talking to her more lately than ever. My poor boyfriend doesn't know what is going on....that makes two of us! LOL But knowing that I'm not the only one going through all of this crazy stuff helps.

Thanks for letting me vent or weep or whatever.

Hi. I am sorry you are feeling emotional.

I was the same way the first week home. I would cry myself to sleep for no reason really. I was a little uncomfortable and was in some pain, but it really didn't warrant me bawling my eyes out!

Your body has been through a lot and your hormones are a little crazy. I felt better within two weeks and the crying episodes slowed down. I would have the odd cry during the day. More of a "I feel sorry for myself" or "I feel all alone" cry. I found that I just went with the flow and felt better once I had a good boo-hoo.

It passed in the end for me. As the days went by and I felt better and slowly able to do more, I felt better and more at peace. I am 10.5 weeks post op now and feel great. I have way more better days than I do down days.

This takes time and patience. I know you don't feel like you have a lot of patience right now, but try to embrace your recovery and know that it does get better. Slowly but surely. Hang in there....the best is yet to come!

Best wishes,

Sarah

I am sorry you are feeling this way.

I think not only does the surgery itself, and the hormones being shocked, but the drugs given during and after surgery can make emotions run rampant.

But it is good that you are talking to your mother more-maybe something good can come out of all the pain of emotions.

Hopefully it will be past you soon.
