Sex Post Op?

My gyn said to wait 8 weeks-absolutely nothing in the vagina. Ummmmm- Im wanting to try. She told me that when they did all the repairs, they cut the pelvic floor muscles and tightened everything up. My vaginal opening now looks really really small!!! So, has anyone tried before 8 weeks/

As hard as it may be, you should wait for the green light from the doctor. You dont want to damage any repairs that have been done. Make an appointment to see the doctor and ask him if he will do a pelvic to check your progress.

Oh ((((sweetie)))) I remember just how hard it was to wait after my hyst, especially since I'd had absolutely no sex life for such a long time before my surgery

However, as I'd had a TVH with Posterior Repairs and there were a lot of stitches, both internal, I knew that it was important to wait until I was released by my doctor. And, while the first time was successful, much to my surprise, it did come with a lot of discomfort... a sure sign of how important it was to wait.

The rules are there to protect from infection and from tearing some of those stitches. in there: You're worth it.

Thanks! I am waiting. I tried to put jeans on and was uncomfortable so I know sex is outta the question.

BTW: How long before you could wear jeans-Im still in soft sweats

I'm 7 weeks out...and NOT wearing jeans yet..OH MY GOD! I get such a swelly belly by evening...it is my first week back at work and the extra movement and sitting even for a full day has got me sore! I have had sex though...first couple times was a bit weird, some tenderness and FEAR..but I didn't even bleed at all. We are still working things out...like my having the ENERGY to have sex...The desire is there, but not always the physical energy...LOL...And even though I had no surgery that should really make things "tighter"...other than a small episiotomy..not even clear through...I am told I am tighter...wow! Take your time sweety...it will all work out! God has blessed us with the great gift of recouperation....so pamper yourself, forgive yourself for feeling anxious and wanting things to happen faster. We will all get there at some point!
