Urgent Advise Needed

Sleepless 2005...I'd pack it up and stay with mom! Your surgery was only a few days before mine. I have no babies (they're grown and gone). My DH has been taking very good care of me and hasn't even let me lift anything heavier than my coffee cup! (He's a correctional officer so he's good at guarding, haha) He goes back to work next week so I'll be on my own and will have to be careful. Anyway, a baby is a lot of weight, and no matter what your doctor said about the ok on lifting 20 pounds, I wouldn't do it yet.

Go stay with mom, and let her take care of you. As a mom myself, I always needed to take care of my kids when they were sick, even as young adults. And I feel so needed when they are sick and call me for help. I'm sure your mom won't mind at all! I really miss my mom when I'm sick (more than the normal missing her)--she died in 2001 from ovarian cancer, but she would always make me go to bed and bring me hot tea with lemon and honey when I was sick, even when I was an adult and visiting her and got sick. It's a mom-thing, so while you both have the chance, give her the opportunity and give yourself the opportunity to be cared for by her.

Take care!

Just a quick last thought about me. I had my first, last, and only child affectionately known as FLO at the ripe old age of 44. After seven years of infertility. We just gave up and then look what happens! I do not feel bad, sad, or mad about my surgery if anyone wonders.
