Beating Myself Up!

I have a 18 month old, 22 pound, baby nephew that lives with me. I have not picked him up in over 4 weeks and he is such an auntie boy. Today, he came into my room and was so happy to see me and was reaching up for me. Well I picked him up and carried him to his mom. Then once I was sitting, I lifted him up into my lap and played with him. Now, I am bleeding bright red blood and my tummy hurts. I am almost 4 weeks post op and have not taken pain meds in over a week. I am so mad at myself for this. I hope I have not popped an internal stitch or did something to my cuff. Should I call the doctor?

I think the rule of thumb is to call if you soak through a pad in an hour. Hope you feel better!

I am so sorry to hear that. Don't beat yourself up. Get some rest, stay still, and yes, call your doctor just to be sure. Hope everything is okay.
