When will the pain stop?

My surgery was a Vag. Hyst. on 7/29. I keep having these sharp pains in my lower pelvic area, mostly on my right side. (but occasionally on my left) And there is pain radiating down my right leg. Could this be from driving, as I use this leg for the gas/brake? Does anyone else have this pain? Also, sometimes, there is a crampy pain in the pelvic area, similar to period cramps...sound familar to anyone else? If so when does this stop? I dont want to call and bother my MD with something that is just routine...Help!!!

When will the pain stop?

I't seems a lot of women experience the same kind of pain you are describing I've read alot of posts, I too have that same pain but on my left side, i'm not driving yet but feel it when I get out of bed or sit up too quickly the Dr said it could be muscles healing or the internal stiches, and the menstrual cramps we have to get used to I have a friend who feels them when it's around the time she got her period before the hyst.
You should call your dr. anyway thats what they are there for .
Take care

When will the pain stop?

Well, I have an appt. Mon (8/25) and I am all for asking them to go ahead and take the rest out. I have gone through my first "menstrual cycle" since the operation and with the pain I have now, the bloating, the PMS with the raging hormones the only thing I'm missing from my previous cycles is the bleeding. Seriously, surgial menopause CAN'T be any worse than this!!!

When will the pain stop?

The pain you are describing stopped for me at about 5 weeks post op, so you might be almost there.

I've had no pelvix pain since about week 6.

Hang in there girl.
