Three days to go...

....and I am packed and ready. I got my daughter a new Snow White Barbie (that is her Halloween costume) to give her when she comes to see me at the castle. I also got us some new coloring books to work on while I am recovering. I have all of my castle needs in my bag, now I just have to clean the rest of the house. Almost ready. I have a party my girlfriends are throwing me tomorrow night, grocery shopping tomorrow afternoon, Finish cleaning Thursday and dinner with the family Thursday night. To top it all off, I have a blind date tonight! Nothing like staying busy to keep from thinking about things!

Three days to go...

A blind date 3 days before surgery????? YOU GO, GIRL!!!!!! Hope he's a good one. Give your daughter a and a for being such a big girl while Mom's in the castle.

Don't spend too much time cleaning. Make sure you spend more time on the enjoyable things you have planned for preop.

Best of luck!!!

Three days to go...

I don't know how old your daughter is but let me share my story. I have 2 girls ages 6 and 7. They were prepared on my surgery but what they wern't prepared for was what they would see when they came to the hosp. My girls cried when they saw me because they weren't prepared to see me looking weak and tired with IVs hooked up to me. It was heart wrenching to see them hurt for me. Please don't forget to prepare your daughter for her visit. It never occurred to me to do that. I thaught I was covered with the surgery talks.
