5wks into recovery and blood clot forms

Hi all,
I am so scared right now. I can't believe this has happend to me. I never had this happen, neither has anyone in my family. I am going to a specialist now and I am on coumadin (blood thinning med). I have all these things going on in my body and don't know what the heck is going on and it scares me. I have an appt tomorrow with doc for an ultra sound to see ifthe clot dissolved. I pray to God it has. I walk with a limp and some times if I walk too much my leg discolors. I have to lay with it elevated when that happens. Thought I would be up and about by now but no chance. Maybe not for another month and I had the operation in May. The worse part about it is the doc that did the surgery hasnt even called me since the clot. I think I need to go to another doc to see if he did any damage to me inside during surgery. Does anyone know how they do an exam now if the cervix is out? Well keeo me in your prayers please.
Thanks,
Marg

Good Luck!

s and prayers are with you. Best of luck. Follow the good doctor's advice and hang in there.

I don't know anything about post-op, but I'll definitely pray for you!

poor thing

I feel sorry for you, and am now concerned. I will keep you in my prayers, as I'm sure all will be okay. Please let us all know how you are doing and what the Dr. says. I personally think it stinks that your original Dr. hasn't addressed this problem. All Dr.'s are not created equal!

move to post op

Perhaps more of the sisters could help if you moved this question to the Post -Op boards.

The pre-op sisters may not have had experience with the problem.

Sorry to hear about what's happened to you. It sounds pretty scary.

If your surgery doc isn't your regular doc, perhaps your regular doc could help you get some info.

Have you called your surgeon?

In my case, my surgeon is my regular gynecologist and I've seen her three times since my surgery (Jun 4) and help is always available by phone.

Having a clot is not an unusual complication. Clots are always possible after surgery and it doesn't mean that the surgeon didn't do a good job.

Call your doc and/or surgeon and try your question on the post op boards. It sounds like you could use some encouragement and support.

Best Wishes
