still some pain 10 mths post op??

Hi all,
I had my hysterectomy 10 months ago ...June 24th.
I'm 43 and had my hysterectomy because I had adenomyosis....I still have painful intercourse, which I've had for 20+ yrs and the last 3 times I've also had bleeding. It is bright red when I wipe....but the last time when I went to flush, I noticed bright red blood in the bowl. I kept one ovary and part of the cervix (which was cauterized). Is it normal to still have pain and bleeding? I am scheduling an appointment with my Gyno.
I've also always had a heavy feeling in my abdomen (which I've had since my C-Section 22 years ago). My kids (or husband) could never lay their heads on my stomach because it just hurt....I thought it would stop after my hysterectomy but it is still the same.
I am very disapointed and now a bit worried but the painful intercourse and bleeding.

I am not 10 months post op. but I am glad to hear you are going to your OB/GYN. That does not sound "normal" to me. from my understanding the hysterectomy is supposed to relieve the bleeding, and reduce it to simply spotting at times. Anything more definitely warrants some questions to your doc.

So sorry you are still having some of these issues. We are all thinking of you, and hope they will be resolved soon.
