hip pain 4 days post hysterectomy

I have had severe left hip pain since my surgery on 7-29. I assume it was from how they had my legs positioned but I thought it would feel better by now. Anyone else ever experienced this?

My surgery threw off my SI joint and 4 years later I'm still having significant issues with it. The pelvic girdle pain is terrible. Try a heating pad for now or a warm shower. Ask your doctor when massage therapy, physiotherapy or chiropractor is safe. It seems many women have hip/back/neck issues after surgery. We are placed in an unnatural position for some length of time, which likely explains this.

I feel your pain! I had my TAH on 7/28 and I'm in so much pain with my left side/hip!! Any movement is excruciating! If you get relief, please let me know! I'm resting with heating pad, very warm showers and because of it still taking pain pills!

My surgery was 7/20 and my hip, leg pain was excruciating until today (2wks). I did see my doctor who said it could be nerve pain (bad) but also could have been positioning during surgery (much more manageable). I did whatever it took to relax. Heat, cold, changing positions all the time and mild stretching of my legs. I am allergic to NSAIDS but I think they would have helped reduce inflammation. After I say all this, please call your doctor.
