Sept 17th hysterectomy. Nervous

Thanks lemondi! I keep telling myself that I can only take care of those things I actually CAN control--like making sure the house is clean, etc. I am trying to let go of the things I don't have control over. I am praying for peace, too. Your words are comforting and help a lot!

You're almost there...I just had surgery on the 11th, and I understand your fear. I just kept reminding myself that the my doctor has done this surgery a hundred times successfully. And once it's done, it's the starting point to move forward, recover, and enjoy the good health you earned. The grass really is greener on this side of the surgery, so just hang in there.

Mine is on the 19th and I'm terrified, particularly for my 2 year old daughter. It's worst in the AM or bedtime.

I have mine tomorrow and I'm a nervous wreck as well. I have extremely high anxiety as it is so I'm a little cray cray right now.

Thanks everyone! It helps to know that I am not alone! I got anxiety meds from my doc. It's helping too. I wasn't handling it well and my blood pressure is bad before these sorts of things.

My surgery is tomorrow too! I'm hoping all goes well...I'm such a worry wart!

I have been a little anxious today, but I keep reminding myself by this time tomorrow it will be done and over with!

The hospital called today and moved my arrival time from 6am to 5:35 am!!!!

I am scheduled for a TLH on Friday sept 19th I too have two kids a 10 & 8 year old. I am soo terrified so I def understand where you are coming from. You spend so much time educating yourself on this surgery and I think sometimes it comes back to bite you in the long run. Thank god for you Hystersisters w/o you guys hear I would have lost my bogging mind by now :-)
