Will I Gain Alot Of Weight Afterward?

I had a tah/bso over 4 years ago. I am still about the same weight as before my surgery. I actually lost almost 10 pounds at first, mainly because of a lack of appetite and not being able to eat much at a time. I was a bit concerned about gaining weight as I had gained a lot a few years back and had to diet to lose almost 75 pounds. I really did not want to have to repeat that

I do stay active and try to eat sensibly and I think that helps.

best wishes.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I'm rather hoping to lose weight. As my swelling is now going down I can actually see *cough* things I haven't seen in a long, long while. -LOL

I am taking advantage of this time to TRY and begin a new diet/lifestyle routine that involves eating healthier, i.e.more vegetables. Especially dropping my best friend Coke a cola, while drinking more natural juices. The junk foods, while they serve their purpose; I know now along with the cokes are really not my friends.

I'm not one to believe things have to necessarily be one way or another, especially if I'm willing to try and change the tide.

It could be the drugs, but.... I'm feeling thinner already!

I put on five pounds right before surgery. This morning I weighed myself (I didn't believe doctor's scale) and saw that I had in fact lost 12 lbs since surgery six weeks ago. I don't know if it will stay off, but I'm hopeful.

Tomorrow is my post-op and I look forward to getting on the scale. I think.
