Got my date...1 week from now!!

I had my appointment today with my ob/gyn, and when I handed him the chart I've kept of my bleeding days, including since the Mirena was inserted in Sept, and he literally put his head down on his desk.
He says the only other option to try instead would be ablation. I couldn't do it. I've heard too many bad stories and so many women end up needing the hyst afterwards anyway. He wasn't really all that crazy about trying it anyway. Let's face it; with everything I've tried to correct my problems...I've always been in that 10% or so that it doesn't work for. So we decided on a TAH. Already had my first bloodwork done.
Because of my 3 c-sections we can't do it vaginally. At least this way if there are any adhesions he can take care of them at the same time. At least I'm keeping my ovaries. I am only 34 btw.
Wow this is scary. I laughed when the secretary asked if I could go in next Wed. I thought she was joking. No joke. Someone had cancelled so.....here we go. To be honest I would rather have it done sooner than later.
I am now running around trying to get my support structure in order and all my spring cleaning started.
Does everyone feel this scared when they get a date??
Sorry to ramble, but I think I'm in a bit of shock.
Any advice would be welcomed.
Kimberley

I think I'm honestly still in shock that it's so soon for me. I feel like laughing, crying, singing and passing out..all at the same time! I can't wait til it's all over. My family is getting ready, too.
Good luck to you both with your upcoming surgeries, also.
's,
Kimberley
