Too tired

Anyone else just exhausted by the end of the day? I work full time and I am wanting to start excercising to help my abdominal muscles get back where they need to be but I am just too tired. Anyone know how long this will last?

Too tired

I know exactly what you are talking about! I work at home designing dolls and can't hardly concentrate. By the end of the day, I'm couchbound! Last night my dh and I dropped our daughter off at our church for her youthgroup and ran to Walmart (my first shopping trip since the surgery) and 20 minutes in I wanted to go home and crash. All I had to do was walk and tell him where to go and it was too much! Tonite both my kids are in an all city orchestra concert and I am staying home and feeling bad about it. I just have no energy by evening. I'm not as far out as you, but totally understand. Today I am running kids to piano (just driving) and hopefully tomorrow will go to my dd's first basektball game. It's right after school so I'm hoping I'll have enough energy to go. Everyone told me I'd be so tired after the surgery, and I had thought how tired could I be when I feel so awful before but they weren't kidding!

I know it will get better! I'm just at that mid 3 week wall.

Take care! Stacy/doll doc TAH/BSO/hrt

Too tired

I'm three months post op, and I still am very tired by the end of the day. After supper, I just lie down on the couch and usually fall asleep. Hopefully, there will eventually be an end to this, but I'm just chalking it up to the healing process.

Too tired

Being tired is the one thing about this that is so hard for me. I am 5 weeks post op and just got up from a little nap. I find I usually do too much for 3 or 4 days and then it catches up with me and by the next day I don't have the energy to do much. Yesterday I went to the grocery and you guessed it, by the time I got home, I dread making so many trips back and forth to the car to bring them in, since we can only lift 10 lbs at a time. I sure hope this tiredness ends soon. I am not one to take naps, but when your body tells you to slow down, I listen. Happy healing.

Too tired

I'm seven weeks tomorrow and this was my first week back to work. I am so tired that I can't see straight. I want to start exercising but I just don't have the enery. I was walking a mile a day before I returned to work but I can't do it now. I hope we get some energy soon.

Too tired

Thanks for this post!!! I thought I was just being lazy, but after reading what you guys have said, I now know it's from the surgery. I wake up and then 2 hours later I'm ready for a nap, and this goes on all day long!! But, again, I feel better knowing I'm not alone!!!

Too tired

It is refreshing to know that others are tired also. Linda I have the same problem. I am up for a short while, usually an hour at a time and then I have to lie down. I only accomplish making part of a meal and have to sit down. It is very frustrating.

Too tired

I'm further out than you ladies and I am experiencing the "crushing fatigue." I am a person who likes to push herself and I the work I do goes from paper pushing to manual labor. I am so very tired. We've had a death in the family that involved travel and three weeks of caring for my father-in-law before his awful end this past Thanksgiving. I've been struggling ever since. I drove 1800 miles home by myself. Wore me out.

I have never been so tired in my life. I'm used to being tired after working (when you work with horses it's an around the clock TO DO list). I've always thought I could go and go. Now, the tired comes from deep within my center and it is taking the life out of me. I can't think straight - take the punches and blows of life - as well when I feel this tired.

Don't mean to scare you all but my point is, you're going to have more of the being tired. I know it will eventually move on, it just isn't right now for me. Continue to take it easy and rest when you would not have rested before. I think that has made my tiredness worse. Other than the tired, I'm so glad to be rid of the diseased organs and the PAIN. GONE!!!
Best wishes, Em

Too tired

I had several complications after my surgery and am about a month behind schedule so I guess I have many more tired days left to deal with. I had internal bleeding and had to have a second surgery in the middle of the night on the 17-18th. I also had a huge loss of blood and needed 3 blood transfusions. A week later (still in hospital) I found out I had a very bad infection in my incision. So I came home on the 27th and have a nurse that cleans and packs my incision daily. Going out of the house drains my energy but also is good for the spirit. I actually get excited to go see the doctor, just to get out.
It is good to know that even with no complications, there are others out there that are very tired as well.
