Two days post hysterectomy: low fever, is it normal?

2nd day post op. At home feeling really good. Taking it easy though. Started getting a little warm this afternoon. 99.7°. Not hot enough to call the doctor (100.4°).
Is this normal?

Re: low fever, is it normal?

Keep a close eye on it and if it keeps up call. I had a low fever, it hovered around 99.9 around 8dpo and by 11dpo I realized it wasn't going away, but never got higher than 100.6. I got checked out and did have an infection in my cuff, despite being on antibiotics the week before I didn't really have any other signs just felt yucky and had a tiny bit of clear discharge. I hope you feel better!

Re: low fever, is it normal?

If it stays there long or goes up i would def call. Body temp can elevate, particularly late in the day while metabolism is bumped up for healing process. Never hurts to be sure.

Re: low fever, is it normal?

I had 100.6 for about 3 hours two days after surgery. Of course it was a Friday night so I called the after hours number and the doc who answered said as long as I wasn't having obvious signs of infection like burning to pee, significant increase in pain, or redness/ draining from incision that it probably was not an emergency and to call my physician monday morning. Or to call the after hours number back if the fever got higher. The fever was gone by the next day.
