You know, it really IS kind of like graduation day! Graduating to a new life!

Wouldn't it be extra nice if people gave you cards with cash when you came back to work?

Good Lawd..I am tired! 2 back to back BUSY 12 hours shifts sure does tire a girl out after being away for so long and I was working on the desk in the ER all night, not even running around seeing patients!

There was no easing into it, I had to hit the ground running mentally! Last night we had 24 admissions from the ER to the other floors & 10 transfers out to other hospitals in a 12 hour period on top of the patients that were being cared for in the ER, it was like being in a battlezone! We had a minimum 4 hour wait to be seen. It was incredible chaos, exhausting on a "good day" It felt like instead of being off for 10 weeks was more like being off my normal 2 days, right back in the middle of it all, but no real complaints, I loved it! It is good to be back!

Glad to hear that you're enjoying work again. Sounds like it was busy, but sometimes being busy keeps your mind off things.

Remember however, not to over do it. As they say, Rome wasn't built in a day, and you can't be expected to make up for 10 weeks in two.

I do want to wish you CONGRATS for getting back into the real world!! I'd send you a card (as Honeybeez suggested) but the Short Term Disability check only stretches so far! LOL!
