What to wear home from Castle?

Hi, sorry with so many questions on the last day!

What are you wearing home? I am bringing some really lightweight athletic pants in a large size. Will I have to roll the top down? Should I bring a really large shirt to wear over it? I have a an extra large sweatshirt I can bring.

What to wear home from Castle?

I am wearing a sweatsuit with a t shirt under and socks and my slippers. We are going straight home so no need for tennis shoes. Good Luck on your surgery and hoping for a speedy recovery.

Good luck with your surgeries. I am not a nightgown person, but I found that was the best for recovery at home. Also, make sure you have underwear that at cut a little lower, preferably with a cotton band (versus elastic). My abdomen was so bloated & swollen for 2 weeks & I couldn't stand anything touching my belly.
Best wishes for a healthy, speedy recovery!

I had a TVH, so no abdominal incisions. I bought some fleece sweatpants that have very little elastic and a tie (they're men's, but they have a button on the fly so they're decent). I wore those and a large fleece tunic. I have approximately 10 pounds of bloat, so anything that fit before would not now. the fleece is comfy and non-binding. I had also bought granny panties in a size up. For me the bloat and non-binding is the issue.

Your pants sound like they will work fine. I wore lounge pants home and did have to pull them down a little (like low-riders) so they didn't rub on my incisions. My regular undies worked fine--same size, bikini cut. I wore a loose t-shirt over mine. I did have some swelly belly for a while and the lounge pants were perfect.

Sending you prayers for a smooth surgery and uneventful recovery!

What to wear home from Castle?

My hyst was similar to bluekitty's...no abdominal incisions. My advantage was I had mine in the late spring-so I was cool and cozy! I used my surgery as an excuse to buy the cutest cool cottony jammies that I could find! I now have the best assortment of pajama pants (also soft drawstring style waistband) now! I wore some to the castle and since they gave me the hospital's designer gown nearly the second I arrived, my DH folded my jammies nicely (with my wear home fresh undies) and as I was 15 minutes from home, wore them home the next morning. I am a germaphobe so I brushed my teeth and splashed my face the next morning and then took a nice long hair washing, shaving shower in my germaphobe clean shower and changed into my new favorite pair of jammies once home. Use this as a chance to celebrate and treat yourself kindly! Blessings to all as you recover!!!

Comfort is king... or queen... where your ride home is concerned. I wore oversized athletic pants and a big t-shirt (it was August).

Some people also like to have along a small pillow for between your tummy and the seatbelt.

Honestly, I wore a nice pair of elastic-waist fleece jammies to the hospital (I had to be there at 6:30am, it was still dark outside)... and I wore them back home again, too, wrapped in my warm, fuzzy robe.
