Any one ovary women?

Right ovary still hanging in there.Left ovary removed because of scar tissue from previous csection 10years ago... I have been having cold flashes which is weird for me. B4 TAH I was always so hot natured..human body is definitely crazy sometimes....I hope it holds off menopause for many years.

I have one too. 5 weeks post op. I had an abodominal total hysterectomy. DR removed Right ovary. He said he debated during surgery whether to leave the left or not but decided to clean it up and leave it. He felt like I needed it since I could never go on HRT for other reasons. The first week or two after surgery I had hot flashes--Then by week three nothing--He said sometimes the ovary weill "go to sleep" after surgery and wakes up. I don't know for sure but hope mine is working. I'd hate the thought of having to go through surgery again.

I also have one left. And know it is working, mild pms, breast tenderness, twice now since surgery. I too hope it hangs in there for the long haul. I am 45.

Biscuit32......I have read that the ovaries continue to function at some capacity even after menopause. You might want to ask your doctor.
