work fears

Is anybody else afraid to go out in public for a bit for fear someone from work will see them? I have a friend who was marked down on her evaluation because before she came back to work she was seen out shopping. I have seen many ladies post on here that they are going here and there, which I am too afraid to do. In my mind going to lunch or picking up one thing at the store for an hour is not the same as being able to work all day. Also, how you are going to be able to work an entire shift if you haven't built up your stamina with short trips out? The problem is, I don't think employers will understand or accept this. Anybody with this feeling or had an experience with employer questioning their leave because they were out in public??

I have thought about that. However, I am on approved, paid disability leave based on my doctors medical documentation. I am obviously not going to take a tropical vacation, however, it is what it is.
It's funny. My boss called me today to ask me a work-related question and I was in the Vera Bradley store. I felt sort of weird or even guilty. However, I really needed to get out of the house today. Like you said, we need to build up our stamina.
