Hot Flashes With Ovaries

I had a lavh and kept my ovaries on dec 15. Last week two nights I woke up having hot flashes and sweating. It also happened twice this weekend. Is it just hormones trying to adjust or what? I am only 32.Has anyone else had this happen?

Yes, this is not uncommon. You are still early post-op and the ovaries may not be fully functioning after this surgery and you may see these symptoms. The ovaries are trying to figure out how to start producing again after the uterus was removed.
It may take some time . If it gets hard to live with, let your dr know and he can run some tests and see if he can help you through this.

Hang in there sometimes it takes some time for things to right themselves.

I also kept my ovaries, am 35 and started hot flashes 2 days after my surgery. They lasted off and on for 2 weeks and knock on wood, I haven't had them since. But I understand that it is normal, although my doc seemed very shocked that I went through it. But I just got done my first ovulation cycle ~ complete with chocolate craving so they must be working! Hang in there - but if it continues for too much longer, I'd check with your doc.

Yep, me too! And night sweats! Took my ovaries a few months to figure out if they wanted to work right or not! Best wishes to you!

My ovaries took about 2-3 months to 'wake up' ...
