Help! Affraid to take any meds

Hi all, I'd really like some advice.
I have taken anti anxiety, anti depresents, and allergy pills in the past. I have not taken them in a while but they are on my list of meds my doctor and the hospital has. I am experiencing A LOT of stress and anxiety for my upcoming TAH August 10th. I am also experiencing cold/allergy symptoms - do I take allergy pill
I'm affraid to take anything as I don't want to mess up my surgery. I also am affraid to call my doctor, I don't want to be a pain, plus she's already canceled surgery once when I injured my foot and I don't want to give her any reason to cancel.
Any advice would be apriciated - I'm sure it will only get worse tomarrow with bowel prep. AHHH

I can't imagine that any doctor would cancel a scheduled surgery merely because her patient called beforehand to ask a question or two.

However, if you don't want to call and inquire about whether or not it's okay to take a medication, then I think it would be safer not to take them.

I'm sending many positive thoughts your way for a successful surgery and uneventful recovery!

I am sorry you are feeling so stressed, but it is understandable and you are not alone.

I know you are afraid to talk to your dr, but I really believe it would be best to ask her which meds you can take before you take them. Before my hyst, I was not allowed to take any of my daily allergy meds, for several days. I do believe that some ladies have been allowed to take certain anxiety meds, but please ask before you take something.

in there and many best wishes to you for your upcoming surgery!
