Pain and swollen eyes

First my eyelids are swollen a ton, not normal for me...Is this normal after surgery?

Also my pain pills are not working at all, not at all. I called Dr last night and she said to try to rotate it with motrin, but that's not helping either...Do I call her back today?

Re: Pain and swollen eyes

,

I don't think I have read many posts (or any that I can remember) of gals with swollen eye lids. Perhaps you are having some sort of allergic reaction?

I would call your in regards to the pain.

Re: Pain and swollen eyes

The swollen eye lids do sound like an allergic reaction. I would call my dr. regarding both the pain and the swollen eyes. Good luck.

Re: Pain and swollen eyes

It could be an allergic reaction or it could be that you are retaining fluid. I would give your doc a call and have it checked out HOpe you are feeling better soon.

Re: Pain and swollen eyes

I called my doctor and she is calling in a script for stronger meds and seems to think that I'm just retaining water and thats why my eyes are puffy. She said if it doesn't go down to call her back. Hopefully the stronger meds will work!

Re: Pain and swollen eyes

Swollen eye lids- I had swollen eyes and face and fingers- said it was water retention and not to worry. It went away in about 4-5 days. I drank tons to water to flush it out. The water helps. Good luck.
