Can't Sleep

Hang in there!

Well, it is not as late here, but you are not alone!

The night before my surgery I stayed up into the wee hours doing stuff, reading every last thing on this site and playing Solitaire. I was just to excited and nervous to get any good rest.

You may get a few hours of sleep and although more is always better...you will sleep well once you get to the castle. Well, at least during surgery! You will have weeks to catch up on sleep. I did a lot of that in the first 2 weeks...now I have insomnia, LOL.

Good luck! Do you have a favorite movie you could watch and fall asleep too?

It will all be over soon and you will be a beautiful princess eating jello and popsicles. Remember when you were a kid and those were really fun things to eat?

Can't Sleep

Hi Loribell

I got some good advice from my very wise GP a few days before I went in, when my blood pressure had started to go through the roof and I wasn't getting any sleep. She said I should just come to terms with the fact that there was really no choice - the operation had to be done, it was going to happen and there was nothing I could do to control it. I just had to go along with what was happening and leave the worrying to the experts. And amazingly she was right - it all became much easier after that.

I guess this advice comes a bit late for you, since you're about to go in. But remember, Loribell and emeraldisles we're all thinking of you and sending calm and healing vibes in your direction.
