Hysterscopy results and pre-op appt scheduled

I had a D&C and hysterscopy done last week because cervical stenosis from the ablation I had two years ago. Was told by my doctor yesterday that there was no sign of any cancer cells. My pre-op appt is 3/17 and I will be able to pick up my FMLA paperwork while I am there. Are there any special questions I should be asking her before the surgery? Any advice is welcome and appreciated.

Congrats on benign results, that's great news!
Some suggested questions are -
- what restrictions will I have during recovery?
- how long am I anticipated to be out of work?
- is this an inpatient or outpatient procedure?
- are they removing cervix, tubes and ovaries along with the uterus?
- if ovaries are removed, are you considering HRT?

What I found most useful were:
-Meals in the freezer that you can just pop in the microwave
-Easy foods for breakfasts and lunches
-Loose fitting clothes
-Recovery corner with pillows and blankets
-Small pillow to hold against your tummy for coughs and sneezes
-Super clean your house (you will not be doing that for a while)
-DVDs and light reading handy

Follow all of your doctor's instructions to the letter - both pre- and post-op.
