Average wait time for hysterectomy?

I am in Canada... Mine is schedule for next week which is 8 weeks from the decision to have the hysterectomy. I was impressed with that as our ORs slow down for 4 weeks in the summer and this will be smack dab in the middle of that 4 weeks!! There is a website for ontario that will show you the average wait times for surgeries and diagnostics tests listed by hospital

I saw the surgeon, June 27, Called his office June 30 and said lets do it...... Hysterectomy is July 21, He could have done it July 17, but my future daughter in laws bridal shower is the 19th.

So....... 21 days

From initial appointment to the OR was 2 weeks for me, but we had no choice and she needed it out asap
