Yeast Infection Prior to Surgery

Well of course - since I have a slight UTI and I am on antibiotics now, I feel a slight yeast infection rearing its ugly head. Would that be a problem with surgery? I will call their office tomorrow = they must be so sick of hearing from me.

I hope it won't matter. It feels only slight and I will use the Monostat tonight. Has this happened to anyone else:

Re: Yeast Infection Prior to Surgery

Hi, Winbox! This didn't happen to me, so I don't know what to tell you. Other than to definitely call your doctor tomorrow and let him/her know. My doctor told me to call if anything related to my health changed in the last few days before the surgery, just in case.

Best wishes! I hope it doesn't delay your surgery. Wishing you an uneventful, textbook perfect surgery and a quick, gentle, easy, comfortable, healthy recovery!

Re: Yeast Infection Prior to Surgery

I did get a Yeast infection about a week before my TAH. I called the doctor she told me to use over-the-container Monistat. I hope you did get some answers from your doctor.
