period? /no uterus

I just wanted to tell you all about this I've never heard of it before . This week is the week i would have gotten my period .I was telling my husband guess what week this is and guess what i'll never get again . The next day I start spotting at 4 weeks post op. It turns dark red about 10 sunday night. I call dr. she wants to see me the next day . she tells me at the appt. I have a small period and might have one for a while bleeding from the cervix that i still have uterine cells there. they may skip months or be regular but will get tired and stop but who knows when . can you belive this . at least it was a little bit nothing like I was used to. She's funny she told me I was werid. then laughed . I told her about bleeding while breastfeeding too and she said it was most likey the cervix too. A little back ground on me I had a TAH for lg. fibroids,lg clots and bleeding through my clothing 3 days a month.It would have been nice to never bleed again but if this is all I'll take it.

I'm sorry you have the dissapointment of the periods. Normally when women have hysterectomy it means an end to the periods. Unfortunately the "mini-periods" can occur when women have kept their cervix and at least one ovary. I have seen several post where they have mini's because the cervix is part of the uterus and can bleed every month. You may want to do a search on mini-period and see what you come up with. There are a few on the Road Less traveled that have these. Good luck.

WOW glad that my cervex was removed along with everyting else. What a surprise it would be to have a period.....even a mini period
