Having a lapracopic supracerval Hyst
Hi, I had a LSH 7 weeks ago and I feel really good. I had a bit of swelly belly for the first couple of weeks, but then I got it only when I over-did something. I really laid around the first week, but by week 2 I was doing most of my normal routine. I think the main symptom after week 2 was the extreme fatigue. I still cannot stay up too late (I used to be a night owl) because I'm pretty tuckered out by 10 p.m.
The only problem I had with this surgery was forgetting that I had the surgery! I would over-do something and wham! my body would let me know that I shouldn't of done that. It is still major surgery, so don't let anyone "poo-poo" you that its not a big deal. We all heal differently, so try not to compare yourself with others (I know, it's kind of hard) and just let your body heal at it's own pace.
I'm SO GLAD that I had this surgery -- it's been a real blessing!
Best wishes on all of your upcoming surgeries!
