Post-op Blood pressure

Hi everyone!
I haven't been on here for awhile but wanted to ask any of you ladies out there if you have high blood pressure now after your hysterectomies?
I found out yesterday and now I am on high blood pressure meds. Not too happy!

Thanks for any responses!

Post-op Blood pressure

Hi April,

I haven't personally had a change in my blood pressure and I'm sorry your has gotten higher. Have you been taking any medications or HRT? I took a prescription med a while back that made my blood pressure go up a little while I was on it. I wasn't happy about it either. I hope your bp meds help and it gets under control soon. Hang in there and let us know how you're doing.

s, Deb

It certainly is scarey and irritating to think that what you just went through could cause other problems. My blood pressure was slowly creeping up over the past 7+months, along with my weight.. When it hit 155/91 and my weight topped +32 lbs, I decided it was time I made some changes. I've been off HRT for almost 6 weeks. My pressure is back down to 136/76, and dropping weekly. I've lost at least 3 lbs... have to buy a new scale today ...eeeek I'm not suggesting in anyway that you should stop whatever treatment your doctor has you on, just maybey talk to them about it. Walking is helping me a lot, and is reducing my stress which was much needed.
Hope your feeling better!
hugs,
Donna

Actually my blood preasure has dropped. For a couple years it was 120 over 80 most of the time. My last two visits to the Dr it was 98 over 62. As far as the weight thing.... staying just about the same no gain no loss.
Good luck.....
