Re: surgery Feb 4. nervous

My surgery is also February 4th. My nerves and anxiety have shot my BP through the roof. I am trying so hard to relax and may take Monday off to go to my happy place.

Re: surgery Feb 4. nervous

I'm feeling the same way. My surgery is not until Feb. 24th and it's driving me crazy because it's all I think about. I had the ablation in 2011 & it helped my bleeding but my cramps were 10x's worse. Hang in there! From what I read on here, people are thankful that they got it done.

Re: surgery Feb 4. nervous

I had hyst seven years ago because of fibroids that I'd managed with painkillers for 3-4 yrs. After the six weeks recovery I kicked myself for not having it done earlier - the pain and inconvenience of the op was nothing compared to the pre op pain and flooding! I also had concerns about surviving the op - but I trusted my dr & anaesthetist, my general health and good fortune. There's lots of info with bad news stores but there's also a lot of problem free procedures.
Hope all goes well for you too.

Re: surgery Feb 4. nervous

Feb 4th must be a popular date. Having surgery and can't sleep! Anxious and nervous about both the surgery and sex in 6 weeks. I really want to keep my cervix but so intent on not having mini periods! I will be so disappointed if sex is no good afterwards. I have big uterine orgasims and I'm scared to lose that! I have the choice to keep cervix. . Still haven't decided. . Once it's gone you can't put it back. .lol

Re: surgery Feb 4. nervous

Hi Annie. I too have the same concerns.I go in the day after you. I have decided to keep my cervix. I am at peace with this decision.I know of the risk of mini periods but was not comfortable with having a vaginal cuff.I know this a hard decision but do your research and pray for guidance and peace.Whatever you decide I pray all goes well on Tuesday and for a great recovery.
