6 week Post Op appt today!

I am cleared for all normal activity!!! I am so excited. I can lift my son again, vacuum, exercise, and have intercourse (although I am really nervous!)

My dr removed sutures that were still up in there on my vaginal cuff, but they weren't really attached so I didn't feel a thing. They were ready to come out, just never did.

She said that some women have scar tissue around where they had the stitches on the vaginal cuff and I had NONE, so that was relieving!!!!!

I have to go back in a year for an exam, the normal pap. I will do that for 3 years and then just go in for pelvic exams once a year to feel the ovary I have left.

THANK YOU ALL for being here for me. Sorry I've not been around much lately, between the kids and college I am swamped.

Congratulations! It does feel good to reach this place doesn't it? Sounds like you are doing well. My only caution is that you might not want to do everything all at once. My dr cleared me at 6 weeks to start adding back in my normal activities. He said, that doesn't mean go home and clean the whole house and do all your yard work. Your body will let you know. Have fun with your new freedom.

Thank you! Oh yes, I cannot clean the whole house yet. lol. I get tired fast and my body tells me. lol.
