Bleeding and smell

Hi, I have some questions. I had my hysterectomy on the 23 of April. On Monday I had sever bleeding and was in the hospital but my oh so smart dr said go home. Mind you it was a 3 hour ambulance ride! Ever since then I have had brown blood coming out when I pee which I know is okay but my concern is the smell. It is horrible. What could it be? should I worry? it is so foul. im just scared something else could be wrong

Re: Bleeding and smell

I had the same thing happen to me this as far as the bleeding, I do not have the smell but the one thing that my doc told me upon discharge from the hospital is if I noticed a bad smell to call him ASAP or go to the ER becuase that could be a sign of an infection. I hope this helps!!

Re: Bleeding and smell

It is completely normal to have a different or unusual odor while the stitches dissolve and the vaginal cuff heals. A foul odor however is not normal and could be a sign of infection.

What's that smell?

Re: Bleeding and smell

My stitches dissolving has smelled off to me. Almost medical office smelling. I havent had bleedin though.
If it smells like old period, it is probaly the smell it should be, ut if it smells like something going bad in the fridge, call the doctor.
