no discharge concern?

So...I'm three weeks post-op and at my two week check-up the Dr. said that I should start seeing the stiches (and stuff) expelling themselves, as of yet...nothing. should I be concerned?

I'm 4 weeks (had a check-up yesterday, everthing healing well), and haven't noticed any stitches. It may be that they're rinsing off into the toilet as you urinate, so you're not seeing them. As long as your doc thinks you're doing well, I wouldn't worry about it.

Heck! I'm over three months and I NEVER saw any stitches or discharge. I guess some see some discharge and some don't. I just consider myself lucky. As long as the doctor isn't concerned, you're fine.

no discharge concern?

I've had a light brownish-watery discharge all along and I'm almost 2 weeks post-op. Today seems heavier than other days, though. I have my first checkup later this morning, so will find out as well. I had dissolving stitches all around. On my hospital discharge papers it said to contact doc if discharge was foul-smelling, but haven't had that either. Nice to see these posts, was kinda wondering myself.

I asked my doc, she told me I wouldn't see any. With a TAH the stitching to the cuff is done from the inside so they would disolve internally. I never did see anything.

I am almost 2 1/2 weeks out and the charge nurse (bless her heart she was great!) said you may see some stitches pass, you may not, so I guess I won't miss'em (I know I'm not missing the fibroids!!!

HI! I am 5 weeks post op still with discharge. As for the stitches my doctor never warned me, but I just had my 5 weeks check up and he said I still have my sutures. Sounds like you are fine to me.

I was told that if your body disolves them as it should, then you won't see stitches.I NEVER saw any either. As for the discharge, I only noticed SOME when I did a bit to much.It wasn't even enough to warrant a mini-pad though.

no discharge concern?

Got back from doc appt and he said my discharge was normal and to be expected because of being stitched up so much on the inside and that it'll eventually go away. There's that word again, "eventually."
