Tysa, I'm glad the tingling seems to be going away. I noticed that mine is getting better too now that I am down to 2 pillows (behind the knees and head). I am doing OK otherwise but really fatigued by the end of the day. One of the nurses said that will last a minimum of six days from my surgery date due to the extensive work they did in there. As long as I know it's normal, I'll adjust. I wish you continued wellness and success with your healing.

Sincerely,
Gdwthit and glad it's over.

I am 4 months out now and things are much better. I no longer need 4 pillows to sleep although I still suffer from insomnia a couple of times a week but even that has improved since my 3 month mark! I have more energy except when I do too much up and down movement, stairs, just getting up from a sitting position. My only downfall is my sex life which is non existent! My dh is too scared to come near me until I'm 100%. I keep aproaching him on the subject but he just shuts me down. I keep hoping the next day he'll be ***** but his libido seems flat and I don't want to put any pressure on him to perform. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Tingling in hands

Hi - Tingling in hands and arms - I had this lots, both before and after my hysterectomy. Not
sure what the cause is. It has been better since my op so I am
guessing it is related to hormones. Check with your doc, but
when I told mine he did not seem concerned so sure you are ok.
Generally, I am just starting to feel like my 'normal' self of about
2 years ago - before all the problems started that resulted in
the hysterectomy. My body is becoming my own again, I can wear
clothes I used to wear and no longer look or feel 'pregnant'!
What an amazing feeling!!

Just wondering with you six month post-op sisters. Are you still getting the swelly belly, and did you lose or gain any extra weight? I am 3 months post op. These are my concerns right now. Thanks

I lost 20 lbs right after my surgery, then put it back on plus 20 but contribute that to the Vivelle Dot I was on, I have been off of that for about 2 weeks and the weight gain and bloating has stopped. I was eating right and exercizing and it was not budging, now I am starting to feel better. Oh there is a question I had, while I was on the HRT I had more hot flashes than I do now, is that common?

I also wanted to mention that I still have parts of my swelly belly that I can't feel, I guess that's normal.

I know what you mean B52canadian. After my c-sections it was like that at my house too. Give him time and keep talking to him about how you are feeling and healing. He will understand more of what is going on with you and won't be so scared to approach you. Good luck and let me know how it goes.
